SREppMex is an independent informational blog about one subject: the Mexican passport process. We publish practical, plain-language guides covering first-time applications, renewals, fees, appointments, replacements and passports for minors.

Why this site exists

The official requirements for a Mexican passport are published by the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores, but they are spread across multiple pages and systems. Many applicants — especially first-timers and families — arrive at their appointment missing a document or unsure of the steps. Our goal is to gather the process into clear, readable guides so you arrive prepared.

Our editorial approach

• We describe the standard, official process and link to official channels.
• Where fees or requirements change frequently, we say so and direct you to verify with the SRE rather than presenting figures as final.
• We never charge for information, and we never offer to “expedite” applications.
